View of the resort from the reception lobby.
What started out as a shopping trip into town by the girls turned into a field trip for all of us. We had the hotel call a couple of taxis for us. Instead, we got one large van that held all of us. It was about a 20 minute ride into town. We were dropped off at the big souvenir shop near the beach and all headed down to take a look at the beach.
The views were nice but none of us ventured into the water. We decided to walk along the beach boardwalk while the rest headed into town shopping.
We found this character from Australia. He must have taken a wrong turn somewhere.
It didn't take long to walk the beach or tour the souvenir shops. So we stopped at a beach side restaurant for lemonades to kill some time.
We all met at the beach about noon and headed out to check out the local restaurants on the beach.
We all enjoyed
the soft breezes, the shade of the large tree and the food. We were all pretty full by the time we got
done. But we did remember to have the
waiter take a photo of the group.
We headed over to a bench on the beach and were joined by John and Connie. The others headed out for a bit more shopping.
The van met us
right at 2:00 and we were back at the hotel by 2:30. Most of the others decided to head back to
the pool. We spent the afternoon in the
room. And we all decided to do whatever we
wanted for dinner…no pre-arranged time to meet.
