This was sort of a lazy day. First thing this morning we boarded a boat for a half hour cruise out to Isle del Cono for some snorkeling.
The crew dropped us off at our first snorkeling site. Turns out there were very tiny jellyfish in the water that stung. They aren’t dangerous…just a bit painful and distracting while trying to enjoy the reef and fish.
The underwater photos are, as usual, only marginally ok but it is fun to try to photograph the fish.
After a couple of hours we took a break on the nice beach.
Lots of people…
and tons of hermit tiny hermit crabs.
After a break on the beach they moved the boat to another spot for more snorkeling. Mary opted to stay out but Paul went in. Turns out this spot didn’t have the stinging jellyfish.
Late morning everyone was back on the boat and we headed back to shore.
On the way we
encountered quite a few spotted dolphins feeding so we stopped for some
photos. Very hard to photograph them
when they are under water so much.
Once back at shore we had lunch and did some packing as we are leaving tomorrow for our next site in Costa Rica. We have rally enjoyed our time here at Drake Bay and Corcovado.
