February 23 – Transfer to Manuel Antonio

We were up early for breakfast.  While on his way to breakfast Paul spotted a long line of ants...each holding a piece of a leaf.  Guess they were taking lunch home.

Then it was some last minute packing and we were on the transit boat by about 7:30 for the hour trip back to the Las Vegas bar in Sierpo.

We noticed a ferry crossing the river.  Interestingly, it was powered by the outboard motor on the small boat that was attached to the side of the ferry.  How inventive.

Then we had a long wait for our transfer, which was scheduled for 11:00.  He was there right on time.

It was about a two-hour drive to Manuel Antonio.

We saw a watermelon stand along the road.  They grow HUGE watermelons here.

Another, nearby market.

Our hotel is high on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean and we have a lovely room with great views…

at the Hotel Si Como No Resort.  The drive said it translate to “Yes. Why not?”

We had lunch at the next door bar and restaurant called Claro Que Si, which translates to “Yes, Of Course”.  What funny names.

It is much hotter here and more humid.  We ended up staying in the room until dinner time and then went to the other restaurant in the hotel.  We have another early tour pickup tomorrow so it was early to bed.
